One person has been confirmed dead, while three others were injured in an accident involving a yam-laden truck and a commercial tricycle in the Epe area of Lagos State.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the accident via a statement issued by its spokesperson, Adebayo Taofiq, on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
Taofiq disclosed that the incident occurred at Aiyetoro Junction by the Traffic Light corridor in Epe.
Taofiq noted that preliminary investigations revealed that the truck coming from Ijebu-Ode in Ogun State attempted a U-turn inward Eleko at the junction as the driver lost control and rammed into a stationary tricycle.
