One person has been confirmed dead while five others were rescued in a collapsed mosque at Papa Ajao in the Mushin area of Lagos State.
Confirming the incident, the Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), in a statement issued by its Permanent Secretary, Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, disclosed that the mosque located on Yusuf Street at Papa Ajao collapsed while prayer was ongoing on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
Oke-Osanyintolu said search and rescue operations were taking place under his supervision.
