Osimhen, Ajibade emerge finalists for 2025 CAF Awards

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been named among the final three nominees for the 2025 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the shortlist on Sunday, confirming that Osimhen will compete against Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah for the continent’s top individual honour.

Osimhen, who won the award in 2023, enjoyed a standout season with Galatasaray, scoring 26 league goals and helping the Turkish giants secure the league title.

His performance also led the club to break the Turkish transfer record, signing him permanently from Napoli for €75 million.
