Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has said he hopes to pursue a university degree after retiring from professional football, stressing that education remains a lifelong pursuit.
Speaking in a resurfaced interview, the Galatasaray striker said he understands that a football career is temporary and wants to prepare himself for life beyond the game.
Osimhen acknowledged that many of his most valuable lessons have come through life experiences rather than the classroom but noted that earning a degree is still one of his personal ambitions.
The 2023 African Footballer of the Year said he also wants his journey to inspire young people who were unable to complete their education due to financial hardship or other challenges.
He encouraged them not to give up on their academic aspirations, saying it is always possible to return to school and continue learning regardless of age or circumstance.
