Otti approves medical support for ailing Nollywood veteran Ngozi Nwosu

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has approved financial support for veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu as she continues to receive treatment for health challenges.

The intervention was announced by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment, Justice Okechukwu Martins, popularly known as JMartins, who thanked the governor for responding promptly to the actress’s medical situation.

In a post on X, JMartins disclosed that Governor Otti approved the payment of the first phase of Nwosu’s medical bills to ease the burden of her treatment.

“His Excellency @alexottiofr has just stepped in on the health issues of our Nollywood legendary actress, Mrs. Ngozi Nwosu, to approve the first part of our medical bills,” he wrote.

While expressing appreciation to the governor, JMartins appealed to Nigerians to continue supporting the actress financially, noting that more funds would be required to cover her full medical expenses.

“We sincerely appreciate His Excellency, but we still appeal to kind-hearted Nigerians to support her in any way they can. On behalf of the creative industry, we thank you immensely, my leader,” he added.

According to him, the governor’s intervention reflects the administration’s commitment to supporting distinguished Abians and individuals who have made significant contributions to Nigeria’s creative and entertainment industry.

Ngozi Nwosu is one of Nollywood’s most celebrated actresses, widely recognised for her outstanding performances in television and film over several decades.
