Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has suspended the State Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Home Affairs, Olaiya Atibioke, for two weeks.
The Special Adviser to the Governor, Yinka Oyebode, who made this known via a statement issued on Saturday, August 12, 2023, said the commissioner was suspended for leaving the venue of a three-day retreat for members of the Ekiti State Executive Council and Permanent Secretaries without permission.
Oyebode noted that Atibioke was nowhere to be found when the commissioners were called to sign the performance charter at the retreat held in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
