The Federal Government has advised candidates shortlisted for the ongoing paramilitary recruitment online Computer-Based Test (CBT) to log in at least 30 minutes before their scheduled exam time.
This directive was issued by the Secretary to the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), retired Major-General Abdulmalik Jibril, on Wednesday in Abuja.
The online CBT phase, which commenced Wednesday, will continue until next week, starting daily at 9:00 a.m. Candidates are urged to strictly follow the schedule provided during registration.
The paramilitary agencies under the board include the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
Jibril emphasized that only officially scheduled candidates will be allowed access, with the portal opening 30 minutes prior to each exam window.
He said candidates must complete the photo verification process and remain in the virtual waiting room until the test begins automatically.
He also cautioned candidates to carefully adhere to the examination rules, warning that the system is designed to detect malpractice, third-party interference, and device manipulation.
“The CBT will be AI-proctored throughout the session,” Jibril said.
“Candidates should ensure a stable internet connection, steady power supply, and use the right device, preferably a laptop.
“Mobile phones and tablets can be used, but interruptions such as calls or switching applications will trigger violation alerts.
“Repeated violations will lead to automatic failure.”
Candidates who are disconnected after starting can rejoin within the allotted time and continue from where they left off, he added.
The CDCFIB began releasing the names of shortlisted candidates for the paramilitary recruitment CBT on October 30.
