The founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries, also known as Grace Nation Liberation City, Pastor Chris Okafor, has apologised to Nollywood actress Doris Ogala following a public dispute that culminated in her arrest and later release by the police.
Okafor tendered the apology during a livestream on Sunday, December 28, 2025, admitting that mistakes were made while maintaining that allegations against him were false.
He apologised to Ogala and others he may have offended and expressed readiness to make restitution where necessary.
“I am sorry to everyone I have offended, including Doris Ogala. I am ready to make restitution,” Okafor said, adding that the apology was both public and private.

“But everything that was said is not true. Everything, take note, everything that was said was never true. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said,” the cleric stated.
The apology follows days of controversy after Ogala accused the pastor of reneging on a promise to marry her, leading to her arrest and subsequent release.
The actress, through her lawyers, demanded N1 billion in damages, citing emotional distress, reputational harm, and financial loss.
It was gathered that Okafor later met with Ogala at the Zone 2 Police Command in Lagos to appeal for peace and reconciliation.
