PCACC summons ex-Kano HoS over wage allegations

The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has invited a former Head of Service in the state, Abdullahi Musa, over allegations of illegal deductions from workers’ salaries.

Chairman of the commission, Sa’idu Yahaya, disclosed this in an interview in Kano on Tuesday, saying Musa has been directed to appear before the agency within a week to respond to the allegations.

Yahaya said the invitation followed ongoing investigations into intelligence received by the commission regarding alleged diversion and deductions of workers’ funds.

“The commission is investigating intelligence regarding the former Head of Service over deduction of workers’ monies. He has been invited to answer questions and is expected to appear within one week,” he said.

He also noted that the commission had taken additional steps in the course of its investigation, including marking Musa’s residence.

According to him, the agency is committed to ensuring accountability and will continue probing the allegations to establish the facts.
