PDP: Ayu won’t step down as national chair

The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has passed a vote of confidence in the party’s National Chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu.

This means Ayu will not be stepping down as the PDP chairman anytime soon.

There have been calls for the resignation of Ayu as the PDP chairman since the emergence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the party’s presidential candidate.
