The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently holding a crucial meeting in Abuja, with renewed emphasis on rebuilding internal confidence and completing congresses in states where they are yet to be conducted.
In his opening remarks, BoT Chairman, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, restated the board’s determination to work closely with the national leadership and state chapters to usher in fresh, stable, and effective leadership structures across the country.
He noted that the party’s roadmap includes the immediate conduct of outstanding state congresses, consolidation of progress already recorded, and strengthened support for the national leadership as it works to reposition the PDP.
Ohuabunwa stressed that these actions are vital to promoting unity, transparency, and deeper grassroots participation.
According to him, timely congresses and renewed organizational discipline will help restore trust among party members and reinforce the PDP’s credibility as it prepares for future electoral contests.
The BoT Chairman added that the party remains committed to internal reforms that will return it to its founding principles and reinvigorate its structures nationwide.
