A photojournalist, Ayo Aiyepeku, has been allegedly killed by his colleague in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State.
It was gathered that the photojournalist was murdered on Tuesday night in an office located around the Government House/GRA axis of Lokoja, where he and his suspected assailant, Adebayo Pelumi, worked as photographers in an unnamed company.
A source, who did not want his name to be mentioned for safety reasons, said the two were known colleagues and shared a professional relationship within the organisation.
He said Adebayo allegedly struck the photojournalist on the head with a blunt object, rendering him unconscious, and thereafter proceeded to butcher the victim and later stored the mutilated body parts in a freezer.
The motive, the source added, was suspected to be linked to ritualistic practices, given the nature of the crime.
