The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Wednesday, appeared at the Court of Appeal in Abuja over the LP’s legal quest to inspect Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines and other electoral materials used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the February 25, 2023, presidential and National Assembly elections.
Obi appeared at the Court of Appeal alongside the LP National Chairman, Julius Abure.
Taking to his Twitter account to announce his presence at the court, the former governor of Anambra State said: “I have arrived at the Appeal Court in Abuja. The place of the Nigerian Judiciary as a revered national institution remain important.

“We believe in due process.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the February 25 presidential election.
Tinubu emerged winner with 8,794,726 votes, while his closest rival and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, polled 6,984,520 votes.
Obi, however, came third with 6,101,533 votes, while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) occupy the fourth position with 1,496,687 votes.
