President Bola Tinubu on Friday held a meeting with Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting was confirmed by presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu meets with Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Friday 23/01/2026,” Onanuga wrote on X.
He, however, failed to disclose the details of the meeting between the president and the monarch.
Oba Ladoja, who served as Oyo State Governor between May 2003 and January 2006 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), became Olubadan in September 2025.

This followed the death of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin in July 2025 after a short reign.
