PHOTOS: Tinubu returns from France

The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has returned from France.

Tinubu announced his return to Nigeria via a tweet on his verified Twitter handle in the early hours of Saturday.

Sharing pictures of his return, the two-term former governor of Lagos State wrote: “Grateful to Almighty Allah for journey mercies.

“Glad to be home and looking forward to what is ahead. Eid Mubarak.”

Tinubu had last Monday departed Nigeria for France.

The Star had reported that the APC’s presidential standard-bearer departed Abuja after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa.

Tinubu, according to his spokesman, Tunde Rahman, left for France to hold some important meetings.

On June 8, the APC National Leader emerged as the party’s presidential candidate for the February 25, 2023, election at the party’s presidential primaries/national convention held at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

After the election, he immediately embarked on a series of thank you and reconciliation visits to those who contested against him at the party’s primaries including the seven aspirants who stepped down for him.

Following his return to the country, Tinubu is expected to announce his substantive running mate ahead of the 2023 general election.

He had earlier announced APC chieftain in Katsina State, Ibrahim Masari, as the APC’s “placeholder” vice-presidential candidate.
