The Nigerian Army has said that the troops of Operation Desert Sanity, have neutralized several members of the Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province Terrorists (ISWAP) in Borno State.
The army said the terrorists were killed around Kangarwa/Metele in Borno State.
The Nigerian Army made the disclosure via a tweet on its verified Twitter handle on Friday.
It stated that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the insurgents.
The tweet read: “Ongoing offensive onslaught by troops of Operation Desert Sanity records another feat as several ISWAP/BokoHaram terrorists were neutralized around Kangarwa/Metele in Borno State.
“Weapons and ammunition amongst others were also recovered.”
