Minister-designate and immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has visited the new national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, at the latter’s residence in Abuja.
Wike, a chieftain of the opposition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), visited Ganduje in Abuja on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
This is coming amidst insinuations that the former governor was planning to join the APC.

The former governor has been at loggerheads with the PDP presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar.
He was said to have worked for the emergence of President Bola Tinubu of the APC in the February 25 presidential election.
