The Nigerian Air Force has continued to lead and coordinate search and recovery efforts following the accident involving NAF ATR-42 aircraft, NAF 931, in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State.
The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
Ejodame said the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has commended the dedication and professionalism of NAF personnel and the support of other agencies and stakeholders involved in the operation.
He listed the stakeholders to include the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Police Force, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ondo State Government, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Amotekun Corps, Hi-Tech Construction Company, local authorities, community leaders, and volunteers.

Ejodame noted that the coordinated efforts reflect strong inter-agency cooperation and collective national service in times of adversity.
Ejodame reaffirmed Air Force’s commitment to pursuing the recovery operation diligently, safely and in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
He assured the public that appropriate updates would continue to be provided as the operation progresses.
