The operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have apprehended a suspected thief, Ifeanyi Okonkwo, captured stealing a Samsung A15 mobile phone inside an eatery at Alausa in the Ikeja area of the state.
The RRS disclosed this in a post shared on its X account on Monday, December 9, 2024.
It stated that the suspect, who allegedly stole the phone at the eatery on November 7, was apprehended on Thursday, December 5.
The RRS stated: “The suspect, Ifeanyi Okonkwo, on November 7, 2024, was at the restaurant to purchase food but ended up stealing a Samsung A15 mobile belonging to another customer.

“Unknown to him, he was captured on CCTV while stealthily taking the phone on the counter.
“Not realising that people were on the lookout for him, he was at the same restaurant on 5th December where he was spotted and promptly arrested by RRS operatives near the scene.
“The operatives have recovered the phone from the buyer while the suspect has been charged to court.”
