Police spokesperson SP Grace Iringe-Koko, in a statement on Thursday, said the suspect was traced to his hideout in Ikoku, Port Harcourt, through intelligence-led operations supported by advanced tracking technology.

She said the suspect has confessed to taking part in the robbery and has provided valuable information assisting the ongoing investigation.

“An in-depth investigation is underway to apprehend the remaining suspects, recover the stolen vehicle, and seize the firearms used in the operation,” Iringe-Koko added.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, praised the operatives for their swift action and commended residents who provided credible information that led to the arrest.

Adepoju reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to public safety, warning that Rivers State will not be a refuge for criminals.

“We remain resolute in maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of all residents,” he said.
