The Kaduna State Police Command has summoned former Governor Nasir El-Rufai and six African Democratic Congress (ADC) leaders for questioning over alleged criminal conspiracy, incitement of public disturbance, mischief, and causing grievous hurt.
The invitation, signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police Uzainu Abdullahi of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), directed the ADC Chairman to ensure their appearance at the SCID on Monday, September 8, 2025.
Others invited include Jafaru Sani, Bashir Sa’idu, Ubaidullah Mohammed, Aminu Abita, Ahmed Rufa’i Hussaini, and Nasiru Maikano.
The police said the move followed complaints linked to a violent clash during the ADC transition committee inauguration in Kaduna, where armed thugs injured participants and damaged vehicles.
Police later sealed the ADC secretariat, noting that the event was held without prior notification to security agencies despite earlier warnings.
