Police launch search for missing Oba of Bayagan Ile

The Kwara State Police have launched a search for the Oba of Bayagan Ile Village, HRH Kamildeen Abdul Salam, who went missing on Saturday.

Sources say the traditional ruler left his home for his farm at about 7:00 a.m. on 29 November but did not return by 2:00 p.m. for lunch.

Family members traced him to the farm but were unable to locate him.

Investigators later found the Oba’s motorcycle abandoned along a bushy roadside, prompting a police report.

The Divisional Police Officer, Zulu, has deployed officers alongside local vigilantes to intensify the search.

Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing and efforts to locate HRH Kamildeen Abdul Salam continue.
