The operatives of the Benue State Police Command have apprehended two persons for allegedly being in possession of human parts in the state.
The Benue State Commissioner of Police, Emenari Ifeanyi, disclosed this at a press conference in Makurdi, the state capital, on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Ifeanyi stated the suspects were arrested in Okpokwu Local Government Area by the Benue State Civil Protection Guard, and handed over the suspects to the police.
Ifeanyi said the suspects were arrested for being in possession of a human head, lap, and heart, adding that they had been charged to court after an investigation.

The police commissioner added that between mid-September and the end of October, 181 suspects were arrested in connection with armed robbery, cultism, banditry, culpable homicide and illegal possession of firearms.
He disclosed that within this period, 14 incidents of homicide, 12 armed robberies, four kidnappings, 16 banditry/terrorism-related incidents, and three cult-related incidents were recorded in Benue State.
Ifeanyi said 15 firearms, 67 rounds of ammunition/cartridges, and three stolen vehicles were recovered, while 23 kidnapped victims were rescued.
The police commissioner commended other security agencies for their continuous synergy to bring peace and order in Benue State.
