Police nab 3 with human parts in Osun

The operatives of the Osun State Police Command have arrested three suspects in Ile-Ogbo, Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State with items suspected to be human parts.

The Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, disclosed this via a statement issued on Monday, December 22, 2025.

Ojelabi said the police received credible intelligence on December 3 that some people were in possession of human parts at Ile-Ogbo close to Iwo.

He stated: “A team of policemen swiftly moved to the scene and the three suspects were arrested inside a dilapidated building with the following exhibits:

“Two plastics containing human skin, white gown used to bury corpse, two dried bones suspected to be human bones, 21 pieces of teeth suspected to be human teeth, four horns wrapped with red cloth, three small nylon containing suspected human hair.

“Others are one small knife, substance suspected to be Indian Hemp, and cash of N127,000.”

He said the suspects confessed to the crime and admitted to have exhumed the human parts from a corpse at a Muslim cemetery located at Gaa-fulani Area, Ile-Ogbo with the intent of using the parts for money rituals.

The police spokesman added further investigation revealed that the syndicate specialised in exhuming corpses from cemetery for criminal purposes.

He noted that the suspects would be charged to court after the completion of investigations.
