Police nab fake soldier in Lagos

The operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a fake soldier, identified as Samuel Msughter, around the Epe-Ijebu Road area of the state.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, made the disclosure via a statement on Friday.

The statement was titled, ‘Arrest of fake soldier’.

Hundeyin noted that the suspect specialise in escorting goods in full army uniform.

He added that investigation was ongoing to unravel the extent of the suspect’s criminality with the uniform.

The police spokesperson stated: “The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a fake soldier, Samuel Msughter, aged 28 on the Epe/Ijebu Road. The suspect specialized in escorting goods in full army uniform.

“Investigation is ongoing to unravel the full extent of his criminality especially with the uniform. Suspect will be charged to court at the end of investigation.”
