The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a commercial motorcyclist, Kadir Owolabi, for allegedly being in possession of three human skulls.
Police spokesperson, CSP Omolola Odutola, said in a statement on Tuesday that the discovery was made during a routine stop-and-search operation conducted by operatives of 71 PMF, Awa Ijebu, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday along the Ijebu Ode–Ibadan Expressway, at Refugees Camp Junction, Oru Ijebu.
According to Odutola, officers intercepted Owolabi and, upon searching his luggage, uncovered the skulls.
A preliminary investigation led to the arrest of another suspect, 53-year-old Jamiu Yisa, near the Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat.
She added that the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to take over the case for further investigation.

The command urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement, assuring the public of confidentiality and the protection of informants’ identities.
