The Kano State Police Command has arrested nine suspects believed to be behind a series of armed robberies in Kano, Kaduna, and Abuja.
Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, disclosed this during a press briefing on Monday, noting that the arrests followed a violent robbery incident on October 8, 2025, at Unguwar Wambai in Dorayi Babba Quarters, Kano.
Bakori said the suspects, aged between 17 and 24, confessed to their involvement in multiple robberies, including a recent attack at Unguwar Jakada.
Items recovered from them include a double-barrel gun, an English Falcon pistol, a scrapped Phoenix pistol, an iron cutter, and several cutlasses.
The police chief assured that the suspects would be prosecuted upon completion of investigations, while efforts are ongoing to recover more stolen items.
