A 54-year-old police officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Cyril Takim, attached to the AIG Zone 7 Headquarters in Abuja, has died suddenly at his home in Aku Village Base 3, Mararaba, Nasarawa State.
According to reports obtained by Zagazola Makama, Takim collapsed and became unconscious while using the bathroom at about 2:50 p.m. on Thursday.
His son, 21-year-old Courage Takim Ogar, immediately rushed him to a nearby medical centre in Mararaba, where doctors confirmed him dead on arrival.
Police detectives who visited the residence said no signs of violence or foul play were found at the scene.
The body has since been deposited at the hospital morgue for preservation.
Police sources said the incident has been classified as a sudden and unnatural death, with no suspicious circumstances reported so far.
