Police operatives in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have arrested 66 suspects during a coordinated raid on criminal hideouts and black spots across Abuja.
The operation, carried out late Monday night, targeted high-risk areas under the jurisdiction of Lugbe, Karu, Kurudu, Maitama, Dutse Alhaji, Gwagwa, Dawaki, Nyanya, and Lokogoma Police Divisions.
According to local sources, the raid focused on uncompleted buildings and locations known for harboring criminal elements.
Security personnel recovered quantities of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, along with other illicit substances during the operation.
All suspects are currently in custody and undergoing screening and interrogation at their respective divisional headquarters. Authorities confirmed that those found guilty of criminal activity will face prosecution, while others will be released after proper profiling.
