Police: We’ve begun investigation on mangled corpse at Lagos airport

The Airport Police Command, on Friday, said it has commenced an investigation into the death of a man whose body was found on Runway 18R at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Airport Command, DSP Olayinka Ojelade, said the unidentified body might probably be that of one of the hoodlums who usually jump through the airport fence.

“l can confirm that a mangled, unidentified body was found at the International Airport runway on Thursday which was probably hit by taxing aircraft.

“We are still investigating the case of the dead body and once we are through we will communicate to you our findings.
