Pope Leo XIV is currently celebrating his first Mass in the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican.

This comes day after Pope Leo became the first North American head of the Catholic Church.

What to know about Pope Leo XIV

Wearing white vestments, Leo processed into the Sistine Chapel and blessed the cardinals as he approached the altar and Michelangelo’s “The Last Judgment” behind it.

Pope Leo was active on the social media platform X before he became a pontiff.

Some of the articles he shared have made waves because they criticised the United States President Donald Trump administration and how Vice President JD Vance chose to interpret the Catholic doctrine.
