Portable: I made N70m in 3 days for beating Speed Darlington

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, fondly called Portable, has disclosed that he earned N70 million in just three days from his boxing match with Speed Darlington.

Portable defeated Darlington in a celebrity boxing match held at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos State, on April 18.

Portable was declared the winner after Darlington failed to stand up in the second round.

Speaking in a viral video, Portable revealed that the organisers of the match initially gave him N30 million when he agreed to the fight, with an additional N20 million if he won.

The famous singer disclosed that after defeating Darlington, his colleague, Burna Boy, also gifted him N20 million, bringing his total earnings from the fight to N70 million in three days.

Portable said: “I was first given N30 million to agree to the fight. Then they said if I win, I would get another N20 million, making it 50 million.

“After I beat Speed Darlington, I even wounded him, and then Burna Boy sent me an extra N20 million.

“So, in just three days, I made N70 million.”
