A pregnant woman has been found hanging from a cashew tree along the Uke/Ideani Road in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident via a statement issued on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Ikenga said the police will unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of the pregnant woman.
Ikenga stated that the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, described the case as deeply unfortunate and a “stark example of man’s inhumanity to man”.
