A Federal Government delegation has arrived in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, following the abduction of pupils and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area.
The team, dispatched by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is led by the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila. Other members include the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, and the Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, alongside other senior officials.
The delegation is in the state on a fact-finding and security assessment mission aimed at evaluating the situation, engaging with affected communities, and coordinating the Federal Government’s response to the incident.
Their visit underscores increased federal attention on the abduction, as authorities step up efforts to secure the safe release of the victims and reinforce security in the affected areas.
