Primaries: Lagos Senator wins Ogun APC Senate ticket

The senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for Ogun West Senatorial District.

Adeola is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance.

Adeola garnered 294 votes to defeat his challenger and incumbent Senator representing the district, Tolu Odebiyi, who polled zero vote.

Odebiyi is an ally of the immediate past governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun.

The APC senatorial primary election held at Orona Hall, Ilaro, Ogun State on Saturday, was conducted by APC Senatorial electoral committee led by Dr Dapo Odukoya.
