Priscilla links fire at Iyabo Ojo’s office to her wedding

Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, has alleged that a recent fire at her mother’s Lagos office was a deliberate attack tied to her wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.

In a statement shared via Instastory, Priscilla revealed a threatening letter delivered to Iyabo’s office on May 24—months before the building was gutted by fire on July 8, 2025. The handwritten letter, signed by an anonymous “Aggrieved Group,” warned of retaliation against Iyabo and her family, targeting Priscilla’s wedding in particular.

The letter read in part: “You put someone in trouble and you’re out enjoying, giving out your daughter in marriage abi? You’re bold. You can’t escape in the next 3 months as we are monitoring you. Watch out.”

It further threatened to ruin Priscilla’s marriage: “We shall render that your daughter’s marriage useless and scatter it. She won’t enjoy it. We were all there on that wedding day. Watch and see.”

Priscilla said her mother did not see the letter until returning from the wedding in Tanzania. She believes the fire was a “Plan B” after earlier efforts to sabotage the May ceremony failed.

“Sadly, on May 24, this letter was delivered to my mum’s office—the same one that went up in flames yesterday,” Priscilla wrote. “It was a clear threat to life and an attempt to destroy JP2025 [the wedding].”

She also noted that CCTV footage from the office and home would be used to help identify the suspects, and that her family is working with law enforcement.

“This fire was not accidental. The timing, the threat, and the message are too connected to ignore,” she stated.

“You can’t silence my mother with threats and criminal acts. God is stronger than any evil, and time will surely reveal the truth.”

Iyabo Ojo had earlier confirmed the fire on Instagram, expressing gratitude to the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff for containing the blaze.
