Popular pro-Biafra separatist agitator Simon Ekpa has been arrested for alleged terrorism in Finland.
It was gathered that Ekpa, Ekpa, a self-acclaimed disciple of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, was apprehended alongside four others on suspicion of terror-related activities, including incitement to violence and terrorism financing.
A Finland news outlet, Yle, disclosed that Ekpa was remanded in custody by the Paijat-Hame District Court on charges of public incitement to commit a crime with terrorist intent.
The report added that the Finnish Central Criminal Police confirmed the suspects’ arrest in a statement on Thursday, noting that the other suspects were apprehended for allegedly financing terrorist activities.

“The detention demands are related to a preliminary investigation in which a Finnish citizen of Nigerian descent, born in the 1980s, is suspected of public incitement to commit a crime with terrorist intent,” the police said.
The Star recalls that security operatives, in February 2023, arrested Ekpa in Finland.
Before Ekpa’s arrest, Nigerians all over the world signed a petition appealing to the Finnish Government, the Nigerian Government, and the European Union to arrest the separatist who is the brain behind the sit-at-home order in the South-East.
Ekpa repeatedly ordered the people of the South-East to observe a sit-at-home and asked them to disrupt the 2023 general election.
