Publisher: Tinubu’ll boost Nigeria’s economy as President

A veteran journalist and publisher, Otunba Dapo Olaosebikan, has told Nigerians to expect a booming socio-economic atmosphere in the country when the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, is sworn into office.

Olaosebikan, in a statement issued on Tuesday, urged Nigerians, especially key stakeholders in the just concluded presidential election, to embrace the reality that “a most capable winner” won the presidential poll for the betterment of the people of the country.

Olaosebikan, who is also the leader of the newly formed Great Nigeria Group (GNG), implored all stakeholders in the presidential election to eschew volatile and inciting statements that can lead to violence in any part of the country.

His words: “It is a universal knowledge that Asiwaju Tinubu is a Nigerian leader with the requisite experience, capability, and capacity to lead Nigeria to her destined greatness after President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure as he had shown during his 8-year tenure as governor of Lagos State.

“Nigerians are indeed very blessed to have Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as their new democratically elected leader because he ran a most impressive issue-based electioneering campaign, identifying Nigeria’s major socio-economic challenges and at the same time proferring practical and practicable solutions to them with input from experts in various fields of human endeavours.

“This was a great departure from the old and cliched campaigns of provision of more infrastructural facilities like roads, hospitals, and schools for the Nigerian populace.”

The veteran journalist listed what he called the cornerstones of what will birth the “Tinuboom Era” to include “a well-conceived economic policy which focuses on massive agricultural and industrial development, sustainable economic growth based on realities of our national life in Nigeria.”

Others listed by the publisher included “a realistic and all-embracing approach to deal with the youth challenge in the country by making all-round development of Nigerian youths an enduring policy focus which will make them proud partners in the national development plan as well as patriotic contributors to the nation’s socio-economic grid.

“A well-conceived and articulated energy policy which will not only improve the nation’s financial base but will result in massive employment opportunities for Nigerians, especially the youths.”

Olaosebikan further stated that Nigerians would not regret voting for Tinubu in the just concluded presidential election, saying: “Asiwaju Tinubu is a talent hunter; he will assemble the test brains for implementation of his master plan for the new and great Nigeria.”

Urging Nigerians to support Tinubu’s vision and mission for the development of the country, Olaosebikan stated that he is confident that the President-elect will reenact his experience as Lagos State Governor “where he created jobs, reformed laws, improved on the ease of doing business and created opportunities for the masses to thrive which caused Lagos to move from an IGR of N600 million a month to N50 billion.

“Asiwaju Tinubu is a quintessential expert in human and material resources management. He has understudied the nation’s socio-economic challenges; he is familiar with them, understands the people, and knows what is good for the Nigerian people,” the publisher added.
