First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has donated nine buses to leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Wing to enhance movement during party activities and community services.
Tinubu presented the vehicles to the APC National Youth Leader and Deputy National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, and Jamaludeen Kabir, respectively, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday, July 31, 2026.
She commended the leaders for working together in unity to strengthen the party’s political activities at the grassroots level.
Tinubu had recently, during the launch of the “Tinubu Torchbearers” support group, donated buses to APC zonal women leaders.
She enjoined the youth to be contented and embrace diligence in all their ways in order to go higher in life.
According to her, patience, integrity and hard work are vital, adding that there is no food for lazy persons and that an obsession with fast money can ruin a society.
The first lady said the buses were acquired through donations by kind-hearted people supporting her and she decided to gift back to the youth.
Tinubu said: “God always knows our needs and that is what the young people do not know. They are always in a hurry, but you are not selfish.
“In this office, I don’t beg. God told me not to beg. It is whatever He provides that I work with and I am teaching you how to learn contentment and not be begarly.

“You have done well because you have never made such requests from my office, I am delighted because you need the buses to work.”
The APC youth leader, in his response, thanked the first lady for her generosity, adding that the youth would keep promoting the party’s policies ahead of the 2027 general election.
Israel expressed appreciation to Tinubu for the gesture and promised to keep supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
Israel said: “You have raised boys to men; we came here, many of us without vehicles but we are leaving with brand new buses.
“From this moment, we are now mummy’s men for Asiwaju and we are going to set structure to run campaign in the 36-states of the federation.
“We are committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda. What you have done today is to enhance our capacity to be able to reach out not just for electoral mobilisation but to be able to improve the lives of Nigerians.”
Others present at the presentation of the vehicles included the APC zonal youth leaders in the North-Central, South-West, South-South, South-East, North-West, North-East, and the FCT.
