First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has expressed gratitude to Nigerians and well-wishers for their overwhelming support for the Oluremi @65 Education Fund, which raised over N25.5 billion towards the construction of the National Library.

The First Lady, in a statement issued on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, said the fund was established to mark her 65th birthday on September 21, 2025, with a focus on promoting education, knowledge preservation and national development.

She described the level of support received as a reflection of Nigerians’ shared commitment to education and unity, noting that the initiative inspired goodwill across the country.

Mrs Tinubu announced that the donation account for the fund would be officially closed on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

She added that the project is being supervised by the Minister of Education, while any further contributions should be directed through the ministry.

According to the statement, a total sum of N25,520,708,074.35 has been donated to the fund as of December 31.

The First Lady thanked all contributors for supporting what she described as a worthy national cause and wished Nigerians and their families peace and prosperity in the year 2026.
