A video recorded before the death of a 20-year-old Delta girl has resurfaced on social media, showing her speaking about her desire to remain a virgin until marriage.

The clip, originally recorded in Asaba by content creator Itz Patorchizzy, was widely reshared on Thursday following reports of her death.

In the interview, the young woman, identified as Agbro, said she did not have a boyfriend and disclosed that she intended to abstain from sex until marriage.

Asked whether she was in a relationship, she replied that she was single and expressed hope of finding a partner who shared her decision to wait until marriage.

The resurfaced video has drawn widespread reactions online, with many users expressing grief over the contrast between her aspirations and the circumstances surrounding her death.

The video emerged a day after the Delta State Police Command announced the arrest of content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as “Odogwu of Asaba,” over allegations that he raped the 20-year-old woman.

Police spokesperson SP Bright Edafe said the arrest followed a petition alleging that the suspect invited the woman to Asaba on June 1, 2026, under the pretext of mentoring her in content creation.

According to the police, she was allegedly taken to a hotel where she was sexually assaulted and physically abused before returning home and informing her family about the incident.

The command said the woman later recorded a video recounting her experience before her death.

Commissioner of Police Yemi Oyeniyi directed the Area Command in Effurun to investigate the allegations, leading to the suspect’s arrest.

Police said the suspect had made useful statements during interrogation and that investigations were ongoing.

The command assured the victim’s family and the public that the case would be thoroughly investigated and that anyone found culpable would be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
