Rev. Father Muonso takes G-Wagon to traditionalist for blessings

Popular clergyman Rev. Father Ebube Muonso has drawn attention online after taking his luxury G-Wagon to a traditional ruler for blessings.

During the ceremony, the ruler poured water around the car—a symbolic act intended to invoke protection, prosperity, and good fortune.

Known for blending religious and cultural practices, Father Muonso appeared to show respect for ancestral customs, even as a prominent figure in the church.

A video of the event quickly went viral on social media, prompting mixed reactions as users debated the intersection of faith, culture, and material wealth.

Some social media users praised the clergyman’s embrace of tradition. @Real_AmakaIke wrote, “Ebube Muonso is a true son of the soil.

He understands the power behind natural blessings from the elders,” while @Samzonal commented, “Interesting to see religious leaders embracing tradition in this way.”

Others questioned the necessity of the public ritual. @sirvichrown said, “Is there anything wrong with buying a car, praying by yourself or with your family, and driving your car without all these unnecessary ceremonies?”

Some defended Muonso’s lifestyle choices. @VictorDonvic998 noted, “He is a rev father; he deserves all that he is getting. Serving Christ doesn’t mean he shouldn’t drive what he wants.” Meanwhile, @SignanWONDA reflected on broader spiritual themes, writing, “God is not a Christian. The earlier we avoid religious doctrines and stick to our ancestral God, the better for us.”

Father Muonso has not publicly responded to the viral video, but it continues to circulate widely, highlighting ongoing interest in how public figures navigate both modern symbols of success and traditional beliefs.
