Nigerian socialite and music promoter, Samson Eletu, popularly known as Sam Larry, has made his first public appearance since surviving a road accident, putting to rest widespread rumours of his death.
A video that surfaced on social media on Saturday showed the music promoter in the company of friends, appearing healthy and in good spirits during a gathering.
The footage quickly gained traction online, with many users expressing relief after days of speculation about his condition.
The appearance comes after unverified reports circulated on social media claiming that Sam Larry had died following a serious auto crash.
Earlier, his associate, Akin Abolade, popularly known as Mr Lilgaga, dismissed the claims, confirming that the promoter survived the accident.

Speaking to PUNCH Online shortly after the incident, Lilgaga said, “Yes, he’s alive and not dead, but his condition cannot be ascertained because of how bad the accident was. We spoke after the accident. He’s alive, and I’m sure of that.”
Sam Larry has remained a controversial figure in Nigeria’s entertainment industry since the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, in September 2023.
He faced public criticism after videos showing altercations between him and the late singer surfaced online before Mohbad’s death. The controversy led to a police investigation, during which Sam Larry was questioned. He has consistently denied any involvement, while investigators maintained that their findings would be based on available evidence.
