Sanwo-Olu appoints K1’s daughter as SSA

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed Basirat Damilola Marshall, daughter of veteran Fuji singer, Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, fondly called K1, as his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Tourism.

Basirat disclosed this via her a series of posts on her Instastory on Thursday, May 2, 2024.

“Congratulations Damilola Basirat Marshall Esq on being appointed SSA to the Governor of Lagos State on Tourism,” one of the posts read.

K1 to Tinubu: Nigerians are suffering, find solution to our woes

A viral video also showed K1 expressing gratitude to Sanwo-Olu for his daughter’s appointment.

In the video, K1 thanked Sanwo-Olu during his performance at the coronation and birthday reception of Oba Sikirullah Apena, attributing the acknowledgment to his daughter who urged him to publicly appreciate the governor.

Prior to her new role, Basirat served as a principal partner at a law firm, Damilola Ayinde Marshal and Co.
