Lagos State Governor and South-West Governors Forum Chairman, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will deliver a keynote lecture at the Arewa House, Kaduna, on Tuesday in commemoration of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

Sanwo-Olu’s lecture, titled “65 Years of Nigeria’s Independence: A Journey So Far with the Renewed Hope Agenda in View”, is part of a one-day public event organized by the Arewa Think Tank, a Northern Nigerian policy and socio-political advocacy group representing professionals from 19 states.

The event will be graced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Special Guest of Honour.

It will be chaired by former Senate President and SGF, Senator Pius Anyim, and co-chaired by Madakin Zazzau, Mallam Mohammed Munir Ja’afaru.

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, will serve as Chief Host, while His Royal Highness, Malam Zubair Jibril Maigwari II, Emir of Birnin Gwari, is the Royal Father of the Day.

Other distinguished attendees include former Governors Bisi Akande (Osun), Olusegun Osoba (Ogun), Mukhtar Ramalan Yero (Kaduna), and retired General Martin Luther Agwai.

Key federal ministers, including Mohammed Badaru, Dr Dele Alake, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Mohammed Idris, and Senator Abubakar Kyari, are also expected, alongside Northern leaders, business captains, and former and current public officials.

The lecture promises a robust discussion on Nigeria’s journey since independence and the strategic path forward under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
