Senate confirms Musa Aliyu as ICPC chairman

The Senate has confirmed Musa Aliyu as the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

The Senate confirmed Aliyu as the ICPC chairman after a screening exercise at plenary in Abuja on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

Aliyu, a lawyer and the Attorney-General of Jigawa State, was screened at the Committee of a Whole chaired by the Deputy Senate President, Jibirin Barau.

President Bola Tinubu had written to the Senate, seeking confirmation of Aliyu as chairman of the ICPC.
