Senator Ahmed Wadada, representing Nasarawa West, has announced his resignation from the Social Democratic Party (SDP), citing lingering internal crises within the party.
His decision was contained in a letter addressed to the party chairman of Tudun Kofa Ward in Keffi Local Government Area, on Thursday.
Wadada said the SDP had been plagued by deep divisions and litigations, which compelled him to quit despite the opportunities and relationships he enjoyed in the party.
He added that it was time to move on and “explore new avenues.”
