A former governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, has met with former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, who is recuperating in London, United Kingdom.
Shekarau, according to a statement issued on Friday by his spokesman, Sule Ya’u Sule, is currently in London on an official assignment.
Abdulsalami was hospitalised in London a few months ago where he is now recuperating.
According to Sule, Senator Shekarau is in London alongside a number of his colleagues on oversight functions.
“While in London His Excellency Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, took time to visit the former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, currently recuperating after being discharged from a hospital.

“His Excellency Senator Ibrahim Shekarau arrived London on Monday on a five day official assignment. This year’s international conference and tour of the United Kingdom Parliament for parliamentarians, Commissioners and staff of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) and state assemblies.
“In attendance are the chairman Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service Senator Ibrahim Shekarau and that of the House of Representatives, Hon Engr Bala Sani, whose committees supervise the function of the commission.
“Others include Senator Smart Adeyemi and Hon Mannir Babba Danagundi,” Sule stated.
