The Kano State Hisbah Board has summoned an Islamic school teacher in the state (name withheld) for allegedly sexually assaulting his students.
It was gathered that the teacher teaches at a school owned by his late father, who was a renowned Islamic cleric in the state.
The commandant of the Kano Hisbah board, Sheikh Harun Ibn-Sina, who made this known on Wednesday, said the man had earlier impregnated one of his students and was forced to marry her.

Ibn-Sina said the teacher deceived his students in the name of love and defiled many of them.
He added that the man connived with his wife to use their matrimonial home for the acts.
The board’s commandant disclosed that the teacher, while appearing before the board, denied the allegations.
Ibn-Sina, however, said an investigation into the matter was ongoing.
