Terrorists attack Kaduna-bound train with 970 passengers

Suspected terrorist on Monday night attacked a Kaduna-bound train, few kilometres to Kaduna metropolis.

The fate of the 970 passengers onboard is unknown as at 10:45 p.m.

An authoritative source who confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on condition of anonymity, said the train departed Abuja 6 p.m., and was expected to arrive Kaduna 8p.m.

The source further revealed that train was attacked at about 7.45p.m., but did not give details of the attack.

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Fidet Okhiria, has confirmed the attack.
